BACKGROUND
Growing up in a large Dutch household taught me good housekeeping, cleanliness and organizational standards. Having raised my own family in a large home, I understand how busy and overwhelming an active household can be.
I’ve always wanted the energy of my home to be beautiful and welcoming for myself and all those who visited. I managed and maintained our large family home and property – doing most of the work on my own and hiring help when needed. When we were ready to sell, I staged it myself. Two potential buyers sent independent house inspectors, giving the house top marks. We sold within a week, despite a challenging real estate market.
My life experiences have given me exceptional organizational skills. In addition, I have a broad knowledge and passion for healthy living, including the importance of a healthy gut biome, prioritizing mental health, plant care, animal care, and challenges to avoid (mold, dust mites, duct and air circulation, water filters, water damage, radon, etc.). Having moved house locally and internationally multiple times, I understand the value of packing with well-labeled and organized boxes, making unpacking a breeze. I used to run a fair trade business requiring substantial product storage in my basement. Downsizing is a way of life for me and I love the simplicity and ease it brings.
